Integrate with Yahoo ConnectID: Magnite’s Control Center

      Article summary

Publishers need a privacy-centric solution to bridge the identity gap while continuing to generate revenue amidst the changes in signal loss and privacy regulations due to the ongoing evolution of the identity landscape. Built on the robust and proprietary Yahoo Identity Graph, Yahoo ConnectID is a future-proofed solution designed to enable ad tech platforms to consistently recognize and match users across the open web.

Magnite Demand Manager’s Control Center is one of the many mechanisms for integrating with Yahoo ConnectID. It is appropriate for any seller that leverages Magnite’s Demand Manager.

      Integration Overview

A ConnectID integration via Magnite’s Control Center is seamless and requires little effort for publishers to better monetize their supply, unlocking additional demand in Yahoo. It consists of only 2 high-level steps.

1 Enable ConnectID from Magnite’s Control Center

2 Configure Hashed Emails to Generate ConnectIDs

Enable ConnectID from Magnite’s Control Center

      1. Sign into Magnite’s Control Center and opt into Yahoo ConnectID.

      2. Email the list of domains to onboard ConnectID to Magnite Account Manager and [email protected].

      3. Click to accept Control Center Addendum in the control center UI.

      4. With previous steps completed, Yahoo will provide a ConnectID pixel ID. This needs to be entered in the Pixel ID, supplied by Yahoo field under Parameter Set.

Configure Hashed Emails to Generate ConnectIDs

      Important

When there is no available hashed email, the ConnectID script auto-generates first-party cookies to create a ConnectID.

      1. Ensure that all user emails are lowercase, trimmed of white space and SHA-256 hashed.

      2. Input the Source of the hashed email or Publisher User Identifier in the dropdown menu. This is where the identifier will be grabbed when Magnite’s Demand Manager Wrapper loads onto the page. We recommend storing it under a cookie or local storage for ease of setup.

      3. Specify the name or location under the Name field, then select Submit.

      4. Apply the Yahoo ConnectID Partner module to any desired Demand Manager Web Wrappers or Experiments.
